For the first time since he fled to Saudi Arabia, accompanied by his deputy, Ali Mohsen, Hadi held on Tuesday meetings with UN and US envoys, in conjunction with the coalition’s arrangements to reshape “legitimacy”, this indicates to attempt by America that ignored Hadi during the recent period, to revive him again, in the context of efforts to mix the cards of the alliance.

Hadi appeared alone during the two meetings, which his media reported were devoted to discussing arrangements for a comprehensive and lasting peace in Yemen.
This is the only time Mohsen did not appear during the meeting, every time he used to accompany a number of leaders loyal to him to thwart any efforts for Hadi, to conclude a deal that would target Mohsen.
Although the meeting did not come out with anything, and it seemed routine to activate “legitimacy”, however, its timing indicates America’s attempt, which thwarted Emirati efforts to lift sanctions on Saleh’s son, the most prominent candidate to succeed Hadi, to use him again as a pressure card against Abu Dhabi, which showed rapprochement with Russia in the Ukrainian crisis, in addition to its attempt to mix up the arrangements that the coalition was making in Riyadh to form a presidential council in place of Hadi, according to what was said earlier by the Speaker of Parliament, Hadi Sultan al-Barakani.
