UN Envoy to Yemen Confirms Work to Open Sana’a Airport

The Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen Hans Grundberg has on Thursday confirmed that the Yemeni parties have reiterated their commitment to uphold the truce.

In a brief statement published by the office of the UN envoy, Hans Grundberg said, “The parties have reiterated their commitment to uphold the truce. We are working tirelessly to help them identify solutions to resume flights from Sana’a. We also continue pushing for progress on opening roads in Taiz and other governorates.”

He called on the parties to work constructively and in good faith to prioritize the interests of Yemeni civilians.
