Taiz: Female Journalist Survives Assassination Attempt

A Yemeni female journalist survived a failed assassination attempt on Saturday in the city of Taiz, which is under the control of pro-coalition forces.

The Journalist Abeer Abdullah said that she and two other journalists (Wahbuddin al-Awadhi and photographer Abdullah al-Hamyari) came under attack on Saturday by Islah troops in the area of Sala Hamira in downtown Taiz, while working on a video media material.

She added in her report to the authority that Islah gunmen present in the area insulted her and her colleagues for no reason.

Abeer Abdullah explained that she had already coordinated with what she said were “stakeholders” and social figures in the region to work on filming an interview and footage with a resident of the area.
