Sana’a-based Yemeni Petroleum Company (YPC) said on Monday that the Saudi-led coalition detained a new gasoline ship and prevented it from reaching Hodeida port despite its inspection and obtaining entry permits from the United Nations.
The company’s official spokesman, Issam Al-Mutawakil, explained that the Saudi coalition seized the gasoline ship “Sundus”, loaded with 29,454 tons.
He pointed out that by detaining this ship, the number of impounded fuel ships increases to two ships with UN entry permits.
The company’s official spokesman called on the international community and humanitarian and international organizations to pressure the coalition to abide by the declared truce and to stop detaining oil derivatives ships as they bear a humanitarian character and have nothing to do with political and military files.
