YSTH Calls for Blood Donations in Sana’a

Yemeni Society for Thalassemia and Genetic Blood Disorder (YSTH) has called for blood donations on Wednesday at its headquarters in Sana’a.

In a campaign entitled “Donating blood saves lives”, The YSTH called on the people and residents of the capital Sanaa to actively participate in blood donation for thalassemia patients, genetic blood fractures and other patients dependent on blood transfusions.

It stressed the need to take donors to their cards, blood donor should be   between the ages of 18 and 55 and healthy and not suffers from any infectious or chronic diseases.

The donor will receive free medical examination of blood pressure, heartbeat and hemoglobin in the blood, the society said.
