Only 50,000 Passengers Traveled through Sana’a Airport during the UN Truce: Sana’a Says

The Director of Sana’a International Airport, Khaled Al-Shayef, confirmed that the air traffic from Sana’a International Airport, since the first day of the UN-sponsored truce last April until today, is not equal to the air traffic for two days before the coalition war on Yemen.

The director of Sana’a Airport said in a tweet, “If we compare the number of passengers through Beirut Airport and the number of passengers through Sana’a International Airport, then the number of passengers through Beirut Airport for the year 2022 is 6, 349, 967 passengers, while the number of passengers through Sana’a Airport does not exceed 50,000 travelers from 2017 until today.”

The statements of the director of Sana’a Airport come after the office of the UN envoy to Yemen announced, Wednesday, on “Twitter” that over 50,000 passengers benefited from the flights that took place through Sanaa International Airport, which reached 100 flights since the beginning of the armistice on April 2, 2022.
