Unknown gunmen in the city of Aden attacked, on Sunday, the governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlass, while passing in the Crater District, which led to the outbreak of clashes.
Local sources indicated that the governor miraculously survived the assassination attempt despite the intensity of the fire, noting that the clashes stopped after the deaths and injuries from both sides.
The sources pointed out that all the streets of the Crater District are closed, for several hours before it was opened to passers -by, according to the sources.
The reasons for the attempt to assassinate the governor of or the authority responsible for the operation were not yet clear, but it comes within the framework of the conflict of the coalition factions in the city that is witnessing a wide security chaos.
