Aden Rises: Nightly Popular Protests Demand the Coalition’s Departure

For the third day in a row, angry popular protests continued in Aden, condemning the currency collapse and the lack of services.

Sources claim that young men angry about the tragic situation organized evening demonstrations in the streets of Mansoura and Crater, setting fire to rubber tires to express their wrath.

The coalition was blamed by the protesters for the horrible living conditions that the citizens are currently experiencing, and they demanded that it leave the country.

Under the hashtag #Expel_the_Coalition_A_Popular_Demand, a campaign was started in the same context on social media platforms.

Participants in the campaign put up posters calling for the coalition to leave Yemen while highlighting how the value of the currency has decreased by 700% since the coalition’s war on Yemen started.

The campaign, according to its organizers, calls for the departure of the Saudi-Emirati coalition from Yemeni territory, an end to its plundering of Yemeni wealth, and the cessation of its destructive and looting practices in Socotra and other provinces.

Participants in the protest discussed the disasters and problems the Saudi-Emirati alliance brought about in Yemen as a consequence of its war, which also caused the collapse of the country’s service and economic situation as a result of its targeting of economic and service infrastructure.
