Amid escalating fears of a new global war in the region, China bolstered its military presence in the Middle East on Sunday, coinciding with Western-American movements.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army deployed six warships in the Middle East, according to Western media reports. Among the new fleet are the “Zibo” task force, a guided missile destroyer, the “Jingzhou” frigate, and the supply ship “Kandawho.”
According to a report by the American publication Daily Express, these ships had been in the Sultanate of Oman for a few days before being redeployed to various areas in the region.
China’s military move in the region is part of Beijing’s recent steps in response to the escalating conflict in the occupied territories. The Chinese and Russian presidents held a summit commemorating the launch of China’s New Silk Road, followed by the Russian president’s order to deploy continuous patrols of fighters armed with Kinzhal missiles, which have a range of 1,500 kilometers above the Black Sea, putting US warships in the Mediterranean in the crosshairs.
China and Russia have announced a stance that differs from the Western American position regarding the two-state solution and immediately stopping the war on Gaza.
The movements of China and Russia came in parallel with the American and Western movements in the Mediterranean.
China and Russia realize that the war on Gaza aims to bring about geopolitical changes in the region, enhancing Washington and the West’s influence on the world. This is especially relevant as the displacement of Gaza residents is connected to the Ben Gurion Canal, which Israel began digging with Western support about two months ago. The canal aims to redirect international navigation from the Suez Canal to this new route, connecting the Red Sea to the Mediterranean. The US and the West seek to undermine the Chinese project with a new economic line inaugurated by the US president from India recently, connecting India to Gulf states, Israel, and ultimately reaching the West.
