Sources explained that an anti-missile was launched in the first actual use of the “Arrow” air defense system since March 2017, following Sana’a forces targeting the military port of Eilat in southern Palestine.
Long-range ballistic missile intercepts are the primary purpose of the third defense system. Analysts claim that the US established it as a clear element of its support for the occupied entity.
This system, belonging to the third level of the multi-stage air defense system, differs in capabilities and specialization from the “Iron Dome” system, which is designed for small missiles and is the first level.
The “David’s Sling” system falls under the second level of the defense system and is used against medium- and long-range missiles that reach up to 200 kilometers.
One of the settlers wrote, “What is happening to the Iron Dome? This is Tel Aviv now.” After settlers raised questions in posts on the X platform about the failure of the defense system to intercept Sanaa’s missiles.
The “Arrow 3” system, which belongs to the Level Three category, is a system designed to intercept long-range ballistic missiles, and it operates based on the “hit-to-kill” principle, relying on direct physical damage to the target, according to the Israeli Hayom newspaper.
Sana’a forces spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced the execution of three “major” offensive operations using ballistic missiles and drones targeting the occupied Palestinian territories (the Israeli entity).
Brigadier General Saree said in his military statement: “In the face of the brutal American Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, we must carry out our duty by relying on Allah and as a victory for the just cause of the beloved Palestinian people.”
He pointed out that Sana’a launched “a large batch of ballistic and winged missiles, along with a significant number of drones, at various enemy targets in the occupied territories.” He explained that “this operation is the third operation in support of our oppressed brothers in Palestine.”
