According to ministry spokesman Iyad Al-Buzm, during a press conference held at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the displacement that occurred in these two governorates was internal displacement to shelters or towards relatives and friends.

He stated, “Despite the massacres carried out by the occupation forces in the governorates of Gaza and the north, and despite its psychological warfare to force Palestinians to leave their homes, it hasn’t been able to achieve its goals of displacement.”

He emphasized that the ministry’s agencies continue to fulfill their duty in supporting Palestinians and providing services to them, and they are making every possible effort to maintain the stability of the internal front in the provinces of Gaza.

He also mentioned that the number of shelters in the Gaza provinces reached 225 centers, including 97 in Gaza and the north, housing 311,000 displaced individuals.

Furthermore, he stated that the shelters in Gaza and the north are distributed among 87 schools, 9 hospitals, and one church where people sought refuge from targeting, but the bombing reached them there.

The ministry announced the sounding of the alarm, warning against the deliberate policy of the occupation aimed at starving and thirsting the residents of Gaza and the north provinces.

It also declared a complete shutdown of all bakeries in the Gaza and northern provinces due to the targeting of some of them and the lack of flour and fuel in others.

It pointed out that the unavailability of drinking water in Gaza and the north has forced Palestinians to drink contaminated water that is unfit for drinking.

Regarding the so-called “safe humanitarian passage” declared by the occupation, the ministry considered it a pure lie, as it is a death trap targeting those who move through it.

It added that the areas to which the occupation forces are forcing people to go in the south of the Strip witness daily massacres, and there is no safe area in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry warned of the continued massacres, terrorism, and psychological pressure by the occupation to force the residents of Gaza and the northern provinces to leave their homes, questioning, “Where will they go? There is no longer a safe area!”

The ministry called for the occupation leaders to be brought to war crimes courts and held the international community responsible for the civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially the Gaza and North provinces.
