After the starvation deaths of the children of Gaza, UNICEF calls for food to be quickly brought into the Strip

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has called on Sunday for the rapid and safe delivery of humanitarian aid to all children and families in the Gaza Strip to address the “threat of death by starvation.”

Gaza – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

It is worth noting that humanitarian aid does not reach the northern Gaza Strip, where the population faces difficult conditions and almost complete loss of food, while it was announced earlier that some children had died of starvation in the besieged Strip.

Over 1.8 million displaced residents in the Gaza Strip are reportedly facing serious food, water, and medicine shortages as well as suffering from poor living and shelter, according to the Gaza government. It warned international institutions, organizations, and bodies against complicity in implementing policies of starvation and thirst against the Palestinian people and the spread of famine in all governorates of the Gaza Strip.

The media office in Gaza pointed out that “thousands of tons of aid have been piling up for weeks on the other side of the Rafah land crossing,” but the occupying entity prevents their entry into the Strip, indicating that hundreds of tons of this aid have been spoiled and expired due to wasted time.

It said that the situation in Gaza is “catastrophic and can’t tolerate all these procrastinations and delays,” emphasizing that the residents suffer from severe shortages of food, water, and medicine.
