Mayor of Umm Al-Rashrash: Extremely difficult situation, and the city is bleeding… Houthi attacks disrupting our economy

“The situation in the city is extremely difficult with arrogance and indifference by the government,” according to Eli Lankri, the mayor of occupied Umm Al-Rashrash (Eilat).

Follow up – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Lankri stated that the city is experiencing an economic crisis, with its commercial activities collapsing, and the Houthi threat, we see an escalation day by day, and this is a security threat first and foremost, but also a major economic threat.

According to Lankri, this threat has affected the port of Eilat, causing the economy to further deteriorate, and there is a sense that the city is abandoned and continues to bleed.

He further explained that companies in Eilat could not hold up without compensation from the government, at least to keep their heads above water.

Despite the enemy’s Israeli army imposing censorship on the media so that it does not address operations targeting Israeli facilities, including Yemeni attacks on Eilat in addition to the Red Sea operations against Israeli ships, Lankri’s speech shed light on the situation.
