The company clarified that the first missile struck the ship on its right side, while the second exploded on its port side, without disclosing any further details about the explosion.

The ship was registered on the NASDAQ stock market index, and it confirmed that all the targeted vessels during February have Israeli, British, and American affiliations.

On Monday morning, Sana’a forces announced the targeting of an American ship in the Red Sea as a response to the American-British aggression against Yemen and in solidarity with the Palestinian people’s plight.

Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the spokesman for Sana’a forces, stated, “The naval forces of the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted the American ship ‘Star Iris’ in the Red Sea, and the strike was accurate and direct.”

The statement from Sana’a forces also emphasized that they “will not hesitate, with the help of Almighty Allah, to carry out further operations in response to the Zionist crimes against the residents of the Gaza Strip, as well as in response to the ongoing American-British aggression against Yemen.”
