America confirms the failure to rescue an Israeli ship in the Red Sea and another’s refusal to help

The US revealed the details of the recent battle in the Red Sea on Tuesday.

In a statement by the United States Central Command, it confirmed the failure of its battleships to secure an Israeli cargo ship and that another European ship refused US protection despite being attacked.

The statement reported that the Israeli ship, “MT Bentleigh 1,” was subjected to a series of attacks in the Red Sea, including one carried out by manned boats belonging to the Yemeni Navy, in addition to a drone boat and ballistic missile attacks.

The American command confirmed that the ship was hit, despite its talk about its battleships participating in the battle, claiming to have intercepted five drones.

The statement also mentioned that another ship owned by Greece, “MT Kyos Lion,” was also attacked by a drone boat but did not request assistance from the American forces, which were nearby.

This information indicates that the US forces have reduced their defenses in the Red Sea and limited them to confronting drones that are often tracked by drones or fighter jets only, without addressing missiles and manned and unmanned boats. This is a strong indication of the absence of American battleships from the Red Sea since the withdrawal of the aircraft carrier “Eisenhower,” despite America’s recent attempt to showcase its presence with the “Roosevelt.”

It also reflects the decline in Western reliance on American protection in the Red Sea.
