The Washington Post Quoted American officials, alleging that the strike targeted a leader of the Ansar Allah movement named Hussein Mastoor Al-Sha’abl.
Although Sana’a did not confirm or deny these allegations, American talk of targeting a leader of the movement at this time carries, according to experts, a hint of the possibility of a Yemeni role in the attack on the “Ain Al-Asad” base, where about six Americans were killed and dozens injured, according to Iraqi reports.
This is the latest bloody attack since the Iraqi resistance factions began targeting US bases in Iraq and Syria and halting it for months.
