The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Wednesday that the toll of the ten-month-old war on Gaza reached at least 40,534 dead.
The ministry said in a statement that it had counted “58 dead among those taken to hospitals… during the last twenty-four hours”, until Wednesday morning.
It noted that the total number of injured “reached 93,778 injuries since the seventh of October.”
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, ten Palestinians were killed in the Israeli army’s military operation in the northern West Bank.
Red Crescent spokesman Ahmed Jibril told that “there are 10 dead as a result of the Israeli aggression on Jenin and Tubas,” in addition to “about 15 wounded.”
Across the West Bank there has been an escalation in violence since the outbreak of the war on October 7.
