The Foreign Ministry in the Sana’a government stated on Thursday that “Saudi Arabia’s return of the Yemen Airways plane from its airspace during its flight to Jordan this morning is an unfriendly and agreement-violating act, sponsored by the United Nations.”

The Ministry considered in a statement that “Saudi Arabia’s action is an attempt to drag the Yemeni government into an irresponsible and unjustified escalation, serving the Zionist enemy,” pointing out that “the Zionist enemy is seeking to fuel conflict in the region to divert attention from the heinous crimes it commits against the Palestinian people.”
The Foreign Ministry in the Sana’a government demanded that the Saudi authorities apologize for the incident, saying, “We await a clarification and apology from the responsible authority for returning the Yemen Airways plane.”
