Mohammed Abdulsalam, the head of the Sana’a delegation in political negotiations, affirmed on Tuesday that “targeting civilians and educational facilities is a dangerous escalation reflecting American-British frustration due to their failure in protecting Israeli navigation in the Red Sea.”

Abdulsalam expressed his condemnation in a post on the “X” platform, condemning “the heinous crime of the American-British aggression in carrying out two airstrikes near a girls’ school in the Al-Jund in Taiz,” emphasizing that “Yemen is committed to supporting Gaza and will not back down from the moral and humanitarian stance towards Gaza regardless of the circumstances.”
In the same context, the “Eye of Humanity Center” in Sana’a stated that “the American-British aggression in the Al-Jund area constitutes a clear and flagrant violation of international humanitarian laws, principles, and treaties,” and that it comes in the “context of supporting Zionist extermination in Gaza and attempting to halt Yemeni operations are of a humanitarian nature.”
The American-British coalition launched two airstrikes in Al-Jund, Al-Ta’iziyah District, near the Umm Al-Mu’minin Aisha Girls’ School in Taiz, resulting in “the martyrdom of two female students and the injury of nine students.”
