Withdrawal of the Last U.S. Aircraft Carrier Fleet from the Gulf

On Thursday, the US confirmed the withdrawal of the last warship fleet from the Gulf.

This coincides with the escalation of Yemen’s operations against U.S. battleships in recent days.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The Washington Post reported that defense officials confirmed the departure of the “USS Roosevelt” from the Middle East, accompanied by several other American battleships.

The “Roosevelt” was deployed to the Gulf as a replacement for the “USS Eisenhower,” which was withdrawn a few months ago.

The “Roosevelt” was expected to be stationed in the Red Sea, but was hampered due to the intensified Yemeni operations against American battleships.

Although U.S. forces have not specified the reasons for withdrawing the Roosevelt—which had been deployed only for a few weeks, mostly moving between the Indian and Pacific Oceans—the timing suggests a response to the recent increase in operations against American battleships.

In recent hours, U.S. forces admitted a missile attack on their battleships in the Gulf.

The U.S. Central Command claimed to have intercepted a missile launched from areas described as controlled by the “Houthis.”

This recent attack marks the fifth in the past three days, according to the daily updates from U.S. Central Command, which has previously admitted attacks on its battleships by missiles and drones.

The timing of Roosevelt’s withdrawal indicates America’s belief that it can’t alter the reality established by Yemen in the Red Sea, given the ongoing blockade of Israeli occupation and concerns that the last American fleets could become targets, especially with anticipated new escalations in the region due to recent developments in Syria.
