Dozens killed and wounded in Israeli air strike on Jabalia refugee camp

Thirty Palestinians were killed and dozens injured today as a result of Israeli shelling in areas in the northern Gaza Strip, where the shelling targeted a food distribution center in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, according to medics in the area.

The Palestinian news agency reported that Israeli warplanes bombed two schools housing displaced people and several homes in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, killing 20 Palestinians and wounding others, while artillery shelled a gathering of Palestinians inside an aid distribution center in the camp, killing at least 10, and wounding more than 40, with the difficulty of ambulances reaching the center and helping the wounded.

Eight people were killed when Israeli warplanes bombed areas in Sheikh Radwan neighborhood west of Gaza City on Monday evening.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza Strip said that Israeli artillery shelling hit an UNRWA food center, known as the “camp supply center.”

Local sources indicated that the shelling coincided with a gathering of mostly women and the elderly, who were waiting for flour.

On his part, The United Nations renewed its call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. “A ceasefire is necessary and indispensable to stop this destruction,” it stressed.
