Israeli raid on northern Lebanon leaves dozens dead

Northern Lebanon suffered the first Israeli raid on Monday since fighting broke out between Hezbollah and Israel in the predominantly Christian town of Aitou killing at least 18 people, according to the Lebanese Red Cross.

Israeli warplanes carried out several raids on various areas in southern Lebanon and another on the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, where one of the raids on a house in the village of Khirbet Selm  , killed two people, in addition to damaging an aid truck in a raid on the town of  ElAin and injuring its driver.

On the other hand, Hezbollah announced Monday that it targeted a naval base near the city of Haifa and a military barracks east of the coastal city of Netanya to the north of Tel Aviv, while the Israeli army announced the interception of projectiles fired from Lebanon towards central Israel.
