After weeks of its media campaign regarding the defense cooperation between Sana’a and Moscow, America admitted on Saturday to having a role in manufacturing the latest Yemeni weapons.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The American newspaper “Business Insider” confirmed in its new report about the Yemeni unmanned submarine that the Yemeni forces recently put into operation during a maneuver last week that America participated in its manufacture.
The newspaper quoted American officials stating that the submarine, named “Al-Qari’a,” includes an American-made drone aircraft engine that was reportedly captured by what they described as the “Houthis” in 2019, seemingly referring to the submarine’s drone engine.
This information completely contradicts the American campaign that the Biden administration, in collaboration with American intelligence, has been marketing over the past weeks, instilling fears among Western powers and Russia’s Gulf allies, most notably the claim that there were discussions between Sana’a and Moscow regarding a new arms deal and others about Russian ships evacuating Iranian Revolutionary Guard leaders from the Yemeni coasts, along with ongoing unending allegations.
In contrast to what America has been promoting of allegations that may carry within them attempts to isolate Russia, at least in the Gulf, and support the campaign to defeat it in Ukraine, the new report from the American newspaper was decisive and confirmed that Yemen alone manufactures its weapons and is re-adapting to developments and dealing with new technologies.
It is still unclear whether the Americans’ talk of American technologies in the drone submarine is an attempt to showcase the capabilities demonstrated in the recent maneuver by the Yemeni forces, which showed unprecedented capabilities in radar evasion and destructive power, or to avert a crisis with its Gulf allies amid anticipation of the submarine’s use in upcoming confrontations.
Why did America admit to a role in manufacturing the latest Yemeni weapons?
