Six people, including four children, were injured after a polio vaccination centre was “shelled” Saturday in the northern Gaza Strip, the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) said.
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on Platform X that “the Sheikh Radwan Primary Health Care Centre in northern Gaza was bombed today while parents of children were taking them to be vaccinated against polio, in an area witnessing a humanitarian truce that was agreed upon to allow the vaccination process to continue.”
A member of the Gaza Civil Defence confirmed that at least three people were wounded by shrapnel from a rocket fired by an Israeli drone at a wall of the health centre west of Gaza City.
