Gaza – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as a “genocide,” rejecting the characterization of it as a war.
This came in a series of tweets on the “X” platform last night, where Albanese pointed out that what is happening is “systematic starvation with the aim of destruction.”
Albanese published a report indicating that only 30 aid trucks enter Gaza daily during the past month of October.
She said that this represents one of the destruction methods followed by the occupying forces, affirming that “the most cruel and complex of them is creating unsustainable and inhumane living conditions.”
Albanese added: “Do not call this a war; it is genocide; the intent of destruction is clear, and the complicity of other countries is also evident.”
Albanese’s statements come to confirm what the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, announced last Monday regarding the Israeli occupation’s reduction of the number of aid trucks allowed to enter Gaza to 30 trucks daily during October.
