For the second time in less than a week, the US is attempting to confine its aggression to the cities located in the far north, specifically those adjacent to Saudi Arabia. What are the dimensions of this step and what are its repercussions?
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
In the past hours, the American aggression carried out about nine airstrikes on the governorates of Amran and Sa’ada, a few days after similar strikes that also targeted the Yemeni capital, Sana’a.
While these raids coincide with concentrated Yemeni strikes, whether in the Red Sea where they continued to intercept more ships linked to the Israeli occupation, or in the air where they continue to destroy the American technological giant “MQ-9” by shooting down the twelfth one in Al Jawf, and even ground operations in the heart of the occupation’s capital, Tel Aviv, the decision of the American aggression, which has been launching aerial and missile attacks on Yemen since last January, to concentrate its attacks on the far north of Yemen carries many messages.
One of the most prominent messages is its attempt to push the Yemeni Saudi confrontation back to the forefront, especially if the recent raids are linked to the detection by satellites of American reconnaissance aircraft taking off from neighboring Saudi Arabia. These revelations were interpreted in Sana’a, according to the elites there, as direct participation in the recent aggression on Yemen, which could cost Saudi Arabia, still lacking in confidence, the fragile truce and return the attack on its oil facilities to the forefront of the scene.
What confirms this narrative is that the military escalation in Sa’ada and Amran by air also coincided with the summoning of factions on the border to America to discuss plans for a ground escalation, indicating that America is trying to exert pressure on the stronghold of the Ansar Allah leader even if originating from Saudi territories, not to mention the coincidence of this aggression with Washington’s attempt to rearrange the ranks of Yemeni forces loyal to it in Aden.
America may have actually, and by the admission of its military leaders, lost the battle in the Red Sea, the Arabian Sea, the Indian Sea, and even the Mediterranean, with the Yemeni operations continuing with force, but this does not mean that it is not planning for a new escalation in Yemen. However, it does not want to pay the price for that, which must require regional countries that have so far refused to engage in the alliance protecting the Israeli occupation in the Red Sea to bear it. These countries are also targeted by the American escalation in Yemen, whether by forcing them to involuntarily participate in the war or exposing their territories to the risk of attacks, using them as advanced bases for launching attacks.
Why did America decide to move its aggression to the far north of Yemen?
