MSF warns of collapse of health and humanitarian conditions in northern Gaza due to the Israeli siege

Follow-ups – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

Christos Christou, the head of Doctors Without Borders, warned today, of a complete collapse of healthcare in northern Gaza due to the ongoing Israeli blockade that has been in place for over a month.

“We have 14,000 people in Gaza in urgent need of urgent healthcare, and it in Gaza is almost nonexistent at the moment,” Christou said in a statement.

The head of MSF pointed out that the occupation army killed members of the organization and humanitarian workers, saying, “We lost 8 colleagues in Gaza and over 1,000 humanitarian workers.”

Christou added, “There are severe violations of human rights and international humanitarian law in Gaza; there is no entry of aid; it is being prevented, and we do not know the reasons for that.”

He mentioned that Gaza Strip is in dire need of all medical and food aid to enter, in addition to the construction of new hospitals.

This comes amidst the continued inhumane and unethical siege imposed by the Israeli occupying army, preventing the entry of food, water, medicine, and any humanitarian aid to hundreds of thousands of besieged families in northern Gaza for about a month and a half as part of the genocide against the Palestinian people, with international and Arab silence and disregard.
