An Israeli aid agency denies using starvation as a weapon of war. The statement comes after a UN special commission found that the Israeli war in Gaza was “consistent with the characteristics of genocide”, including large numbers of civilian casualties due to the weaponization of famine.
This week, Human Rights Watch also released a scathing new report on conditions in Gaza, accusing Israel of deliberately forcibly displacing Palestinian civilians, which constitutes a war crime and crimes against humanity.
The IDF denies this and says it is “committed to international law and acts accordingly.”
