Yemeni messages frighten German cargo ships

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

German shipping companies have reported receiving threatening messages via email from Yemen.

According to the Hamburg-based German Shipping Association (VDR), based in Hamburg, many German shipping companies have announced that they received “threatening email messages” in recent months originating from Yemen, confirming that “the threats are being taken seriously, and the union is in constant communication with German security agencies.”

It pointed out that these threats are directed towards ships passing to ports in Israel, the Red Sea, the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait, the Gulf of Aden, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean, indicating that the risks in these areas remain high.

This comes as Sana’a imposes a near-total maritime blockade on Israeli navigation and ships heading to occupied ports.
