The office confirmed in a statement quoted by the Palestinian Information Center that “the number of male and female journalist martyrs has risen to 190 since the start of the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, after the announcement of the martyrdom of Alaa Fawzi Barhoum, the press editor in several media institutions.”
The government office condemned the Israeli occupation’s targeting, killing, and assassination of Palestinian journalists,” holding it fully responsible for committing “this heinous crime.”
The office urged the international community and journalistic organizations to deter the occupation, prosecute it in international courts for its crimes, and pressure it to stop genocide and the murder and assassination of Palestinian journalists.
