In a report published on Thursday, Amnesty International accused Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, which Israel denied as “fabricated.”

The London-based human rights organization reached this conclusion after months of analyzing the facts and statements by Israeli officials, according to its statement, stressing that the legal limit for the crime of genocide has been met.

The organization documents Israel’s blatant and continuous opening of the gates of hell and destruction to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip with complete impunity during its military assault on the Strip.

Agnès Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International, said: “Amnesty International’s report clearly demonstrates that Israel has committed acts prohibited by the Genocide Convention with the specific intent of destroying Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. These acts include the killing of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, physical or psychological harm to them, and the deliberate subjection of them to living conditions intended for their physical destruction. For months, Israel has treated Palestinians as if they were a subhuman group who do not deserve human rights or dignity and has shown that its intention is their physical destruction.”

“Our irrefutable results should serve as a wake-up call to the international community: this is genocide, and it must stop now,” said Agnès Callamard.
