An Israeli airstrike on Sunday targeted the Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz school in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, which is used to shelter displaced people from the Strip, resulting in martyrs and injuries.
Medical sources released scenes of the UNRWA school, which is located in front of the Khan Yunis medical complex, on fire after being hit by Israeli shelling.
According to sources, the number of martyrs rose to more than 20, including a large number of children, in addition to dozens of wounded.
Medical teams and civil defence are working to recover the bodies of the victims and search for survivors under the rubble.
