A special units of the Israeli Prisons Administration stormed on Sunday, one of the sections of Ofer prison, west of the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, and assaulted Palestinian prisoners.
The Israel Prison Service claimed in a statement that “some terrorists started knocking on doors in Ofer prison during an inspection tour of a military body.”
The prisoners’ information office said in a statement that “the repression units of the occupation prisons administration stormed one of the sections of Ofer prison and assaulted the prisoners by beating and spraying gas.”
“The fierce attack on our heroic prisoners inside prisons, which has escalated, comes in the wake of the achievements of the resistance,” the statement added.
“This act is condemned by all international laws and laws, and is a new crime added to the occupation’s black record of violating the rights of prisoners,” the statement said.
The prisoners’ information office held “the occupation fully responsible for the lives and safety of the prisoners.”
