Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, the director of Al-Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip, announced that the latest death toll from the Israeli bombardment that renewed at dawn on Tuesday is 419 martyrs so far, and hundreds are wounded, exceeding 700.

Abu Salmiya said that “the number of martyrs is likely to increase, due to the seriousness of the injuries of the wounded and the inability of the medical teams to deal with them due to the lack of necessary capabilities, and there are also citizens under the rubble.”
He added that “the occupation is targeting everything, as it targeted the medical teams and the civil defense to inflict the largest number of martyrs because it wants to kill the largest possible number.”
Abu Salmiya pointed out that “the health sector is exhausted and tired due to the tight siege imposed on the Gaza Strip for two weeks,” adding, “Gaza Strip has not received a single medicine pill for two weeks, and we also need oxygen stations, operating rooms, surgical instruments, emergency medicines, field hospitals, and medical teams from abroad.”
He stressed that “what is required now is, first, to stop the aggression on Gaza, and second, to open the crossings and allow the entry of medicines and medical supplies, and the entry of medical teams and field hospitals.”
