Rosalia Paulin, a spokeswoman for the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Gaza, said that more than 200 Palestinian children have been killed in the Gaza Strip since last Tuesday, when Israel resumed its war on Gaza.
She explained that thousands of residents are constantly moving from one area to another in harsh weather conditions.
She noted that thousands of children who were not killed are suffering from extremely serious injuries.
She said that hospitals in the Gaza Strip are unable to treat the catastrophe caused by the ongoing bombing.
She explained that the effects of the food blockade are severe on the population of the Gaza Strip, especially children.
She also indicated that the prices of basic commodities have become exorbitant and unaffordable for most of the population of the Gaza Strip.
She said that many children have died due to the lack of vital medical supplies.
