Marwan al-Hams, director of field hospitals in the Gaza Strip, confirmed that the majority of the martyrs who arrived at Gaza hospitals suffered from 100% burns and amputations all over their bodies.
Al-Hams said, “There are large numbers of unidentified body parts, and severe burns are the predominant feature of the injuries arriving at hospitals.”
He added, “The bombardment targeting the Gaza Strip since March 18th is unprecedented in the quantity and quality of weapons used.”
He pointed out that Israel is using new types of American weapons, which have replenished the Israeli stockpile after it was depleted, in addition to those it has used over the past 15 months, which significantly affect and destroy the body’s cells.
He added, “The injuries we are receiving are amputations without bleeding, as the injury represents a complete burn. Health teams are working with limited resources to try to restore the injured limb so that we can replace a limb or rehabilitate the wound in the future. We are striving to preserve as many organs as possible.”
He continued, “We in the Ministry of Health in Gaza do not have laboratories to examine the nature of the chemicals used in the rockets, but we do have the victims: the martyrs, the wounded, and the complete evidence that international organizations can examine to determine whether they are chemical, biological, or even uranium-laced.”
