In a new development reflecting the impact of the Yemeni military operations in the Red Sea, an American official confirmed that the strikes carried out by the Sana’a forces have forced most American ships to change their course, explaining that about 75% of American shipping movement is now avoiding passing through the Red Sea, heading towards the southern coast of Africa.

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

An American official acknowledged that the military operations carried out by the Sana’a forces in the Red Sea have greatly affected Israeli and American navigation traffic, leading to the disruption of 75% of American shipping movement in the region.

US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz confirmed that the majority of American ships that used to rely on passage through the Red Sea have been forced to change their course through the southern coast of Africa as a result of the strikes carried out by the Sana’a forces.

Waltz added, in an interview with CBS News, that 75% of American ships that used this path now find themselves forced to take a longer route through the southern coast of Africa instead of the Suez Canal, which increases transportation costs and delays the arrival of shipments.
