Al-Jawf governorate, the most important border area for Yemen with Saudi Arabia, witnessed unprecedented military developments on Saturday.
Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
Video clips showed a large flight of Saudi-loyal factions from the governorate’s fronts as Sana’a changed the rhythm of the confrontation.
The most prominent of those clips show huge convoys of the “Emergency” and “Homeland Shield” factions returning to Seiyun in the Hadramawt desert after withdrawing from the Al-Jawf fronts.
The withdrawal of those factions coincided with the withdrawal of Islah factions to the Al-Kana’is area on the border of Marib.
These factions had attempted during the western coast confrontations to escalate on the Al-Jawf fronts by trying to penetrate the open desert areas adjacent to the Saudi border.
These factions were subjected to major massacres over the past two days with Sana’a’s decision to carry out a counterattack.
Media reports indicated the destruction of dozens of military vehicles and the seizure of others, in addition to dozens of dead and wounded and the capture of others among those factions.
Sana’a forces managed, according to sources, to clear wide desert areas in the vicinity of Al-Labanat, which those factions were trying to reach.
