Scandal shakes the “US Defense” during the planning of its attacks on Yemen

Exclusive – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:

The American magazine “The Atlantic” revealed, on Monday, a scandal committed by the US Department of Defense during the planning of the new attacks on Yemen.

The magazine said in a report that “officials in the US administration used the Signal application to plan the attack on the Houthis.”

The report added that “the editor-in-chief of the magazine was mistakenly included in the list of message recipients that included details of the attack on Yemen.”

The Wall Street Journal also revealed that “national security officials discussed plans through commercial messages to launch an attack on the Houthis.”

For his part, a spokesman for the National Security Council, in an intervention with the Al Jazeera channel, confirmed that the messages reported regarding the details of the attack on Yemen were genuine.

In turn, the most prominent Democratic representative on the House Intelligence Committee stated that he is horrified that senior national security officials shared sensitive information and imminent war plans through a commercial messaging application.

The confusion and low level of planning for the US attack on Yemen reflect the state of confusion and weakness witnessed by the US administration, especially with its failure to confront the military operations of the Sana’a forces supporting Gaza.
