Local sources and relief agencies report that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is seriously deteriorating, with the ongoing intensive Israeli military operations and the worsening suffering of nearly two million people, especially more than a month after Israel’s decision to cut off humanitarian aid to the Strip.
According to CNN, citing civilians in Gaza, as well as reports from the United Nations and several non-governmental organizations, hunger is spreading rapidly, with access to clean water significantly declining, amid harsh displacement conditions.
Sources also indicated that fleas are spreading in temporary displacement tents, reflecting the deteriorating health and living conditions.
The problems facing residents have been exacerbated over the past eighteen months by the renewed Israeli offensive in March, which included shelling and evacuation orders for displaced areas.
