Largest civilian casualty toll with Trump’s order for indiscriminate airstrikes in Yemen

On Monday, Yemen recorded the largest daily toll of civilian casualties as a result of American airstrikes, coinciding with the announcement by US President Trump of his order for indiscriminate airstrikes after the failure of his campaign to target what he calls the “Houthis.”

The Ministry of Health in Sana’a confirmed the fall of around 36 martyrs and injured as a result of the airstrikes that targeted a ceramic factory west of the Yemeni capital.

The “Al-Sawari” factory was subjected to a series of airstrikes on Sunday evening. Among the victims were at least 6 killed workers.

This toll is the largest recorded in a single aggression since the start of the American airstrikes four weeks ago.

The recording of this large number of victims came after the revelation of President Trump’s order for indiscriminate airstrikes on Yemen.

In a press statement, Trump said he had approved lifting the bureaucracy on the military commanders overseeing the aggression on Yemen, allowing them to carry out indiscriminate airstrikes that do not distinguish between civilian and military targets, according to experts.

Trump accompanied his threat with a picture of a young Yemeni walking on foot in one of the regions east of the country, saying that his planes had targeted him with several air raids.

These developments indicate a shift in the course of the American aggression, which is about to complete its first month.

It also reflects the extent of American anger at the failure of its forces to stop the Yemeni operations in support of Gaza, especially as it came hours after Yemen announced the implementation of a wide-scale attack on the occupation, despite American promises to prevent it.
