Videos circulated by activists on social media showed a group of settlers celebrating inside one of the mosque’s courtyards, amid tight protection from the enemy police, which prevented any Palestinian intervention to prevent the violation.
The Jerusalem governorate and Hamas considered that the raid is a continuation of the blatant Zionist violations of the sanctity of the mosque, and part of the systematic Judaization plan led by the fascist enemy government, with the aim of imposing the reality of the temporal and spatial division of the mosque by force of arms.
