26countries: “The war in Gaza must end no

Twenty-six countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and France, called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza and the lifting of restrictions on aid from Israel.

The countries said more than 800 Palestinians have been killed while seeking aid and condemned what they described as “point-by-point smuggling and the inhumane killing of civilians.” They issued a joint statement amid growing international concern over the death toll at aid distribution points in the Strip.

The joint statement by the foreign ministers of Britain, Australia, France, Italy, Japan, Canada, Denmark, and others said: “We, the undersigned, are united in a simple and urgent message: the war in Gaza must end now.”

The statement reportedly describes the Israeli government’s aid distribution model as “dangerous, fueling insecurity, and depriving the people of Gaza of their human dignity.”
