Report | Sana’a’s missile attack on the “Scarlet Ray” expands the equation of response against the occupation in the Red Sea

The British website “Seatrade Maritime News,” which specializes in maritime affairs, revealed that Sana’a’s missile attack targeting the occupation’s oil tanker “Scarlet Ray” in the northern Red Sea demonstrates the extent of the expanded threat posed by Yemenis in the waterways.

The website quoted the Joint Maritime Information Center “JMIC” as saying that the Yemeni operation confirms Sana’a’s ability to strike occupation commercial ships deep in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, stressing that the threat to ships linked to Israel is “extremely serious.”

In the same context, the Washington Institute for Near East Policy explained that the location of the attack on the tanker Scarlet Ray was new and outside the usual areas of attack, noting that the operation took place much further north than previous attacks.

The institute added that the Yemeni missile attack was completely different from previous operations and could mark the beginning of a new phase in the confrontation, depending on developments in the conflict between Yemen and the occupation in support of Gaza.
