How did the Yemeni Support Front for Palestine abort the normalization project?

The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom published an extensive report confirming that Yemen has become a strategic obstacle to the completion of what is known as the “Abraham Accords normalization” between some Arab regimes and the Israeli enemy, noting that what it described as the gains Tel Aviv reaped through the agreements face the risk of failure if what it called the “Yemeni obstacle” continues.

The report pointed out in a special section entitled “The Houthi Obstacle” that Ansar Allah’s fiery control of the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait has turned the vital sea lane into an effective pressure card, as it has hampered Sana’a’s maritime operations a large part of the shipping traffic linked to the Israeli enemy, and raised transportation and insurance costs to record levels, causing the Israeli economy to suffer heavy material losses.

The newspaper added that Washington is betting that Yemeni operations will cease with the end of the war in Gaza, but it pointed to growing Israeli concerns that Bab Al-Mandeb could become a permanent strategic tool in Sana’a’s hands even after any possible truce.

The newspaper admitted that the assassination of the head of the Change and Construction Government in Sana’a and a number of its leaders did not achieve the desired goals, noting that missiles and drones continue to reach deep into the occupied territories, which it considered an indication of the erosion of the deterrence capacity of the Israeli enemy.

The newspaper concluded its report with a warning that Yemen would remain a strategic threat to the occupation’s projects in the region, calling on the US to expand its actions and form a new alliance aimed at containing Yemeni influence and securing the interests of the Israeli enemy in the Red Sea.
