The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the Israeli occupation forces targeted Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital late Tuesday evening.
The ministry explained that the hospital’s upper floors were targeted three consecutive times, a few minutes apart.
It considered this targeting a further confirmation of the occupation’s systematic policy of completely disrupting and crippling the health system in the Gaza Strip.
It noted that Al-Rantisi Hospital, the only specialized hospital in the Gaza Strip, offers oncology, dialysis, and other specialties, such as respiratory and digestive diseases.
The hospital currently has 80 patients receiving treatment in various specialties, in addition to four pediatric intensive care units and eight neonatal intensive care units.
It indicated that as a result of the bombing, 40 patients left the hospital in search of safer locations and the safety of their children. The remaining 40 patients, along with their companions, 12 intensive care units, and 30 hospital staff remain.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health renewed its appeal to all relevant parties to provide protection for health facilities, medical personnel, and patients in the Gaza Strip.
