UNRWA: 12 of our facilities in Gaza City were targeted between September 11 and 16

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that 12 of its facilities in Gaza City were directly or indirectly hit between September 11 and 16, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the besieged Strip.

The agency explained in a statement that among the targeted facilities were nine schools and two health centers, all of which were sheltering more than 11,000 displaced people who had fled the shelling in their areas.

UNRWA emphasized that the targeting of its facilities constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and puts the lives of thousands of civilians at risk. It emphasized the need to protect civilians and humanitarian infrastructure in the Strip, calling for an immediate ceasefire and the safe and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.
