The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that, over two years, since the seventh of October 2023, Israel has committed genocide in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death and injury of about 240,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women, in addition to a number of missing people under the rubble. The ministry indicated that there was unprecedented destruction of homes, facilities, infrastructure, hospitals, health centers, universities and schools, in addition to a famine that claimed the lives of 459 Palestinians, including 154 children. In a report, the Palestinian Ministry of Health noted that the escalating atrocities as a result of the continuous Israeli aggression constitute serious human rights violations. According to the ministry’s data, since the start of the extermination war until the fourth of October, the total number of martyrs reached 67,074, and the injured were about 169,430, many of them suffered severe shocks and life-threatening conditions, while the number of victims are still under. The rubble and on the roads, where the ambulance and rescue crews have been unable to reach them until now, and since last March 18 until today, the death toll and injuries reached 13,486 martyrs and 57,389 injuries. Reports of the Ministry of Health and international and international institutions indicated that 34 of the 36 hospitals operating in the Gaza Strip, prior to the war of extermination, were completely or partially damaged, as the occupation launched more than 400 attacks on health facilities and their employees. An international classification of food insecurity, with the participation of the United Nations, confirmed that more than half a million people in the Gaza Strip are facing catastrophic conditions, i.e. the fifth stage of the classification, and would be very hungry, death, destitution and extremely critical levels of acute malnutrition. The classification stated that another 1.07 million people (54% of the population) are facing the fourth stage, which is the stage of acute “emergency” food insecurity. 396,000 (20% of the population) are facing the third phase, which is the stage of acute food insecurity “crisis”. “The recent developments, including the escalation of fighting, the recurrence of displacement and the tightening of the embargo on humanitarian access, have exacerbated the humanitarian situation,” UN agencies said. She stated that the cumulative impact of these factors pushed Gaza into an unprecedented disaster, as it severely restricts the access of the majority of the population to food, clean water and basic services. Since March 2, the Israeli occupation has also stressed its siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, and closed the crossings in front of stacked aid trucks on the border. UNRWA confirmed that 1.9 million people have been forcibly displaced in the Gaza Strip since the start of the war of extermination, noting that the vast majority of the Gaza Strip have been displaced at least once. The United Nations has announced the displacement of more than 1.2 million people as a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza City since mid-March. On the other hand, UNEP has warned that recovery from environmental damage in Gaza may take decades. The program emphasized that the environmental situation in Gaza has witnessed a significant deterioration in almost all indicators since the recent evaluation conducted in June 2024. He indicated that the fresh water supply has become very scarce and that a large amount of it remains contaminated.
