Gaza:16,000 pieces of evidence: UN committee documents Israeli crimes

Chris Sidoti, a member of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, confirmed on Wednesday that the commission had gathered sufficient evidence to prove that the Israeli army committed war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Sidoti explained that the UN commission’s investigation lasted two years and was based on evidence it collected directly, including more than 16,000 items of documented material, including verified photos and videos corroborated by eyewitness testimonies, in accordance with UN protocols.

He noted that the commission, established by the UN Human Rights Council in May 2021, continued its work using the same methodology it has adopted since its inception.
