The Government Media Office in Gaza confirmed that the percentage of destruction caused by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip has reached 90%, marking two years since the beginning of the genocide.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the office explained that “the occupation destroyed and disabled 38 hospitals, controlled approximately 80% of the Gaza Strip through bombing and displacement, and dropped more than 200,000 tons of explosives. 95% of the Gaza Strip’s schools were also damaged as a result of the ongoing bombing.”
The office noted that “2,700 families were erased from the civil registry, and more than 12,000 miscarriages were recorded among pregnant women due to lack of food and healthcare, in addition to 460 deaths due to hunger and malnutrition.”
For his part, Mahmoud Basal, spokesman for the Civil Defense in the Gaza Strip, confirmed that “the (Israeli) targeting continues, despite the announcement of US President Donald Trump’s ceasefire plan.”
He pointed out that “there are a number of bodies of martyrs that we are unable to recover from the areas of occupation operations.”
